On Saturday, April 19th, 2014 at the Veridian Center CLAU's Annual Dinner featured Brandon Mull, author of Fablehaven, Beyonders, Candy Shop War, and Spirit Animals.  This year's annual dinner featured a new way of doing things for CLAU.  We enjoyed a new location The Veridian Center, our featured author's speech was free and open to the public, you need not pay for dinner to hear our speaker, however many joined us for dinner first where the 2014 Beehive Award Winners were announced and dinner guests enjoyed reserved seating in the front rows for the presentation and get priority in the signing line.

On Feb. 1st 2014 CLAU was at teh KUED Super Reader Party.  Great fun was had by all especially our balloon tying kids and adults who knew how to make all kinds of great animals!

In November 2013 Jean Reagan, author of How to Babysit a Grandpa, joined CLAU for activities, prizes, and an author signing.  This event was sponsored by CLAU, Alpine Elementary, and Westfield Elementary.  Look at what a great time we had!

In October, 2013 Marc Tyler Nobleman, author of the current Informational Beehive Book Nominee, Bill the Boy Wonder:  The Secret Co-creator of Batman and past nominee, Boys of Steel:  The Creators of Superman, spoke at a free event co-sponsored by CLAU.

A fall Beehive Book Bash was held September 9th at Sandy Library.  Librarian Kara Pearson did a fantastic job introducing all the books to the children and the parents in attendance.  Children excitedly participated in activities, crafts, and a treasure hunt.  Thanks, Kara, for helping children be excited about the Beehive books!
